BENEFITS OF QMCS

1. Time Saving

TRADITIONAL WAY: Manual fastening of bolts takes more time, up to 1-1.5 hour for clamping the mould.

QMCS: Mould clamping using automatic hydraulic clamps is much faster, within 5-10 minutes.

2. Manpower Saving

TRADITIONAL WAY: 2-3 or even more operators required for mould change, depending on machine tonnage. Also, skilled operator required for the work.

QMCS: 1 or 2 operators can easily do the mould change, irrespective of machine tonnage. Also, general operators can do the work as they just need to press some buttons.

3. Operator Safety

TRADITIONAL WAY: Operators need to fasten & loosen heavy bolts in narrow and dangerous conditions, leading to health hazards.

QMCS: Easy and safe for operator. It also improves the morale of the employees.

4. Mould Safety

TRADITIONAL WAY: Sometimes a bolt may not have been fastened properly or a bolt may get broken. This can lead to accident and mould damage.

QMCS: Hydraulic clamps will lock only after safe hydraulic working pressure is achieved. If pressure is insufficient, system will increase pressure automatically. Also, it is interlocked with emergency stop of the machine.

5. Machine Idle Time

TRADITIONAL WAY: Idle (down) time of machine is long.

QMCS: As mould change time is reduced, machine idle time is also reduced. This increases production output of the machine.

6. Increased Efficiency

TRADITIONAL WAY: Speed of mould change is slow. It is difficult to meet the needs of decreasing production lot and increasing variation of products.

QMCS: Speed of mould change is quick. It will shorten delivery time, lower production cost and decrease stock inventory.

7. Increased Profitability

TRADITIONAL WAY: Reduced production time and lesser production flexibility will give limited profitability.

QMCS: More production time and increased flexibility of production leads to increased profits.
